Booking Office Coordinator

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Clydebank, is currently looking to recruit a Radiology Booking Office Coordinator for an initial 2 month contract on a rate of £13.93 per hour PAYE. The working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm. This role will be based onsite in Clydebank.
Responsibilities:
- The team are primarily involved in receiving requests for radiology exams from a variety of sources and putting these on to the radiology system to create an electronic request.
- They then produce and send letters asking for the patient to call and make an appointment.
- When the patient calls, they speak to a member of the team who negotiates an appointment time/date and books the patient into this slot.
- The patient is then sent a letter confirming their appointment.
Essential Skills:
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer care, including an excellent telephone manner
- Enthusiastic individual
- Demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Demonstrate a high level of flexibility with regard to work schedules
- IT literate
