We are currently looking on behalf of one of our clients in Zurich for an ICT systems engineer. This is a permanent hybrid role with 2 days HO.

Your role:

• Design, configure, and manage Microsoft-based systems including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft 365.

• Maintain and support virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and/or VMware.

• Administer and monitor Azure services including virtual machines, networking, and identity management.

• Ensure system integrity, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability across infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide level 2/3 support to internal teams.

• Collaborate with other IT professionals on infrastructure projects and new technology rollouts.

• Manage endpoint deployments and configurations using Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager.

• Implement and maintain security policies including patch management, antivirus solutions, and group policies.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.

• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in system performance and operational efficiency.

Your profile:

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role within a Microsoft environment.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, Microsoft 365.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and hybrid infrastructure setups.

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

• Familiarity with PowerShell Scripting for automation and administration.

• Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) is nice to have

• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MS-100, MS-101, or equivalent are nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, and Endpoint Configuration Manager.

• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Azure Backup, etc.).

• Experience working in ITIL-based support environments.

• Fluent German is mandatory
