Business Applications Project Manager - Worthing/WFH/Hybrid

£55,000 - £60,000 plus excellent benefits, bonus and career opportunities/Based Worthing, West Sussex with WFH opportunities, 1 or 2 days per week in the office

A leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Project Manager with SDLC and Business Applications experience.

An example of projects could include things such as:

  • CRM project experience, a real plus.
  • Upgrading/improving Legacy systems/environments, including SAP/Workday etc
  • Working on billing tariffs.
  • Improving their digital journey (UI/UX).
  • Developing old Databases.
  • Enhancing reporting systems.
  • Case Management Systems.
  • Working on both minor and major projects.
  • Utilities experience is a bonus, but not essential.

As the Business Applications Project Manager, you are responsible for delivering independent projects and/or workstreams within a programme of work aligned within an organisational domain. The domains within which the Project Manager will work will be either aligned to business functions or development of their technical infrastructure.

Within this the role of the Project Manager will be to lead the delivery of individual projects from initiation through to service transition, Matrix managing all project resources and managing relationships/deliverables with third party providers and internal stakeholders.

Core skills and experience required for the Business Applications Project Manager:

  • Strong technical project Strong communication skills, including senior stakeholder/exec, leadership management skills.
  • Be self-sufficient - have energy, drive and be resilient.
  • Someone who can join the dots together.
  • Sable to produce sensible plans.
  • Any Agile experience is a bonus, as they are on a slow Agile journey, so having this experience will assist the development of this area.
  • Experience of procurement and management of 3rd party suppliers for services, software and infrastructure.
  • Experience of working in a Matrix function alongside Business, Service Architecture, Operations and Security functions.

Core capabilities required for the Business Applications Project Manager:

  • Average 5+ years prior experience in Project management/Programme Management
  • Demonstrable experience in managing IT projects and experience of shaping, scoping and delivering medium and large projects
  • Strong people management and development.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others in IT and Business.
  • Business acumen.
  • Fostering an environment of best practise, information sharing, cross training and process improvement.
  • Quality Control on Projects.
