IFRS & Workday Financial Management Specialist

Location: Remote (EU-based) with Travel to Munich

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with deep IFRS expertise and hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing Workday Financial Management. This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration between ERP configurations and IFRS-compliant financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across financial operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesIFRS Compliance & Financial Reporting

• Ensure Workday Financial Management modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, and Financial Reporting) align with IFRS standards, specifically IFRS 9, IFRS 15, and IFRS 16.

• Prepare and review IFRS-compliant financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely disclosures.

Workday Configuration & Optimization

• Configure and maintain Workday Financial Management, leveraging the Business Process Framework (BPF) to enhance workflow efficiency.

• Identify and implement improvements in Workday configurations to optimize compliance and financial reporting processes.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Lead or support Workday ERP implementations across multiple regions.

• Act as a bridge between finance teams and external implementation partners, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on objectives.

Financial Data Analysis & Problem-Solving

• Analyze financial data within Workday to support accurate IFRS reporting.

• Proactively address configuration and reporting challenges, reducing reliance on manual workarounds.

Training & Documentation

• Develop clear process documentation for Workday functionalities and IFRS compliance requirements.

• Provide training to finance teams to enhance their understanding of Workday Financial Management.

Ideal Candidate ProfileQualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting and ERP implementation.

• At least 2 years of direct experience working with Workday Financial Management.

Technical & Language Skills
