Software Engineer - 6 months - Hybrid (London) - Inside IR35

Hamilton Barnes is looking for an experienced Next.js/React Technical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and maintaining high-quality web applications. This is a client-facing position, where you will work closely with designers and developers to create seamless, scalable, and high-performing user interfaces. As a software engineer, you will also be responsible for clearing technical roadblocks and guiding the team in best practices.

This is a six-month contract with a strong possibility of extension requiring 2 days per week onsite in London (Zone-1), working within a dynamic IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of fast, scalable, and responsive web applications using Next.js and React.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to build intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance and work across different browsers and devices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best development practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise, ensuring smooth functionality.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our application

What you will ideally Bring:

• Strong overall experience in web development, with hands-on experience in Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and modern Front End build tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• This is a client-facing role, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Duration: 6 months (View for Extension)
• Location: Hybrid/2 days per week in London
• Rate: Up to £450 per day Inside IR35
