Metadata Management Lead/Architect - Outside IR35 - 12 months initially - Remote - £600pd - (RL7740)

Our client is seeking a Metadata Management Lead/Architect to define the future design of their metadata management capability.

Job Title: Metadata Management Lead/Architect
Location: Remote (possibility of occasional trips to Stockholm, expenses paid)
IR35: Outside
Day Rate: £550-600

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop the organisation's metadata management capability
• Define metadata standards, metamodels, and operating models for tooling
• Oversee metadata management within DataPlex, Purview, and Enterprise Data Catalog
• Collaborate closely with platform teams, cybersecurity, and other key stakeholders
• Implement best practices for metadata governance and integration across the organisation

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in metadata management, architecture, and governance
• Strong understanding of metadata tools, including DataPlex, Purview, and Enterprise Data Catalog
• Experience in defining metadata models, standards, and operating frameworks
• Expertise in cloud-based metadata management within GCP environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment

Soft Skills:

• Flexible approach and ability to work cooperatively within a newly created team environment
• Self-starter with the ability to perform quality assurance and control for technical deliverables
• Experience in operationally supporting large, complex technical environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
