1st Line Support Engineer
Job Title: 1st Line IT Support - Permanent Role
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line IT Support professional to join a growing company in the Kent region. The role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work as part of a dynamic IT team, providing support across multiple sites and contracts.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for all IT issues, including server, desktop, and networking infrastructure, as well as telephone systems (landline and mobile).

Ensure accurate documentation of all IT processes, maintaining a comprehensive record of activities and resolutions.

Work with the IT team to deliver various IT projects, including workflow implementations and system testing.

Monitor the network across all sites, collaborating with an outsourced IT department to address and resolve any issues.

Assist in maintaining the company's printer outsourcing contract and ensure seamless IT operations.

Support data compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to GDPR and secure IT infrastructure (laptop encryption, remote wiping, etc.).

Track and update the IT issues' database regularly, prioritising and resolving support tickets in a timely manner.
Essential Skills & Requirements:

Strong communication skills at all levels.
-
Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate level).
-
Entry-level documentation skills.
-
Previous experience in an IT support role or relevant IT qualification.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
-
GCSE grades A-C in relevant subjects.
-
Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
-
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
-
A Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel occasionally to other sites as required.
Desirable Skills:
-
Knowledge of networking (Unifi/Meraki/Cisco).

Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
Location: This is a site-based role in Sittingbourne, Kent. Applicants must be able to work onsite five days a week.
