Contract Details:
Role: Site Reliability Engineer
Rate: Up to £650/day Outside IR35
Location: Cheltenham (3 days per week on-site)
Contract Length: 12 Months (+ extensions)
The Role:
You'll play a key role in supporting agile development teams by optimising infrastructure, automating workflows, and enhancing security for a distributed microservices platform. You'll be responsible for maintaining cloud-based environments, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure security and compliance across systems.
- Support product teams with infrastructure insights.
- Proactively recommend improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong Linux experience.
- Expertise in AWS and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools.
- Solid grasp of monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
