The Role
This company is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their new Product Management department. The company is currently building and developing 2 products - a social housing tenant management system and a service charges management application.
The Product Manager would be an early stage hire in a start-up and contribute to building a high functioning Product Management Department. They would own 1-2 product strands and perform the hands-on product management tasks with their engineering team and help define the product's future development. They would also be responsible for the successful delivery of the product development by the engineering team.
Within the role, you will have the opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility and ownership from day one helping to shape processes within the department as well as solving some interesting problems in the social housing sector.

We're looking for someone with a minimum of 2-3 years of product management experience working directly with software engineering teams, and experience working with clients in a B2B setting would be preferable. Previous experience of the social housing sector is desirable but by no means essential.
So what would you do?
Product Roadmap Development - Collaborating with stakeholders to define and prioritise your product's roadmap. This involves gathering input from sales, marketing, engineering, and other departments to ensure that product development efforts are aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
Product Delivery - Overseeing the end-to-end product development life cycle, from ideation to launch. This includes setting project timelines, managing resources, tracking progress, and resolving any issues or obstacles that may arise along the way.
Team Leadership - Building and leading high-performing scrum teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration - Working closely with other departments, such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales; to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across teams. This involves facilitating communication and fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Product Quality and Performance - Ensuring that products meet high standards of quality, performance, and usability. This involves establishing rigorous testing processes, gathering feedback from customers, and continuously iterating and improving products based on data, user feedback and market insights.
Risk Management - Identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development, such as technical challenges, market uncertainties, and regulatory compliance issues. This involves conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing strategies to minimize potential impacts on project timelines and outcomes.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence - Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats. This involves conducting market research, analysing customer feedback, and staying abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices.
