My Client is a four-year old B2B publishing business serving global clients in the commodity publishing industry. With a team of 60 people and growing fast, they have offices in London, Singapore, Houston and Dubai. They are continuously building out their suite of products and services, striving to become the market leader in energy transition markets news and data.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both Front End and Back End development and a passion for creating responsive and visually appealing web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.

- Collaborate with designers and other developers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

- Write clean, scalable code and perform code reviews to ensure quality standards.

- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.

- Participate in project planning and provide input on technical aspects of web development.

Qualifications and Capbilities

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience as a Web Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects.

- Proficiency in Front End technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and Back End frameworks (Node.js, PHP, etc.).

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to work independently, and to understand the needs of the internal and external client

Essential Skills

- 3+ years of proven experience with PHP and object-oriented programming

- Excellent knowledge of SQL (MySQL). Ability to optimise queries for improved performance.

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design principles.

- Ability to write clean, secure, performant, maintainable and re-usable code following best practices in web development.

- Experience with OWASP

- Good understanding of Linux principles and usage of bash commands.

- Experience with Git
