Azure DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes - Permanent - London/Hybrid - £65-70k per annum

My client, a leader in their field are seeking a talented and motivated Azure DevOps Engineer to join their growing team in Central London. This role will play a crucial part in managing their on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments, ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of applications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible, along with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

  • Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Automate infrastructure management using Ansible and Terraform.

  • Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes.

  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability across on-prem, cloud (Azure), and SaaS environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Implement best practices for security, monitoring, and compliance.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a DevOps role.

  • Strong proficiency with Azure cloud services.

  • Ideall Insurance domain knowledge (financial services)
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD automation.

  • Proficiency in Docker containerization.

  • Expertise in using Ansible for configuration management.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience in monitoring and logging tools.

  • Familiarity with security best practices.


Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience within Insurance or Financial Services.

  • Exposure to other cloud providers (eg, AWS, GCP).

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

  • Familiarity with SaaS application management.

  • Strong Scripting skills (eg, Python, Bash, Powershell).
