We are supporting a major transformation programme with our enterprise client in their buildings infrastructure space. The goal is to collect and analyse data on the 100+ buildings they have to ascertain key facts, then transform the working and physical environment into a an exciting and eco friendly place. As part of the journey, we need to learn everything about the buildings; structure, electrical, mechanical, systems, condition, equipment etc, understanding data on running costs, maintenance required and associated costs, environmental impact, sustainability and future predictions on overall needs to keep buildings going. The position of Head of Platforms has been created to implement a methodology for managing the systems across all these assets and how they are managed to provide a robust platform where all buildings can be managed. These include, electrical, mechanical, fire, security, heating, air con to mention a few. There are systems in place, but the objective is to overhaul all of these and brings the estate up to date.

Applicants do not necessarily have to come from this sector as we are looking for an accomplished individual from the platforms space who has worked in a complex multistakeholder enterprise environment which is likely to be challenging. They will work with the internal IT team but not be part of them as the plan is to keep this area separate. They therefore must be technical with a strong systems platform background but open minded to the technologies used as this is effectively a brown field site.
