Freelance Opportunity: Analytics Product Owner - 12 Months (Likely to Extend)

Conexus is working with a global consumer goods company undergoing an exciting digital transformation. They're investing heavily in their data and analytics capabilities, and we're now looking for an experienced Analytics Product Owner to lead delivery of impactful solutions across multiple regions and business functions.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and visibility, suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to turn business goals into scalable data products.

• Lead the full life cycle of data and analytics products within a defined functional area - from vision through to delivery.

• Manage product roadmaps and backlogs, aligning priorities with business goals and user needs.

• Work with stakeholders across multiple geographies to define product features, gather requirements, and ensure business value is realised.

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, engineers, and data scientists to ensure high-quality and timely product delivery.

• Ensure alignment with broader data strategy, architecture, and compliance standards.

• Oversee product rollouts at both local and regional levels, ensuring adoption and successful change management.

• Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and planning cycles.

• Support integration, decommissioning, or enhancement of systems based on regional needs.

• Master's degree or equivalent in a technical, data, or business-related field.

• 10+ years' experience in data product development, data management, or analytics.

• Strong background in enterprise-level analytics, including data governance, metadata management, MDM, and data quality frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with modern tools and platforms such as Power BI, Azure Analytics, Azure DevOps, and ideally Dataiku.

• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and agile delivery methodologies (especially Kanban or similar).

• Experience delivering within complex, international environments and working across multiple business units or regions.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (eg GDPR) and an appreciation for the role of security and privacy in data governance.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills - able to translate technical topics into business terms and vice versa.
