We have a current opportunity for a Overhaul and Warranty Manager on a temporary basis.
In this role you will plan, schedule, and monitor overhaul of assets through external suppliers ensuring the BSC has sufficient stock on site to maintain the fleets. You will also provide complex clerical support to materials management in data entry, filing and coordinating paper flow and in times of absence cover for the Senior materials Manager.
Reports to - Senior Materials Manager
This role is based out of our site in Lincoln site but will include the opportunity to work at home based on business needs.
What are your responsibilities:
Deputise in the absence of the Senior Materials manager
Working with respective partners and project managers, you will provide materials management and logistics planning expertise to ensure Bogie and Wheelset Overhauls programs are accurately planned and mobilized.
Look at cost savings for the business by proactively looking for CI improvements and working with project teams to mitigate the ad-hoc material requirements.
Ensure Material systems are kept up to date.
Monitor supplier performance and work alongside central functions.
Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers and central functions.
Manage the flow of material to suppliers and back to ensure fleet requirements are met.
Investigate and resolve warranty/quality issues in a timely manner to ensure asset availability meets plans.
Produce and maintain short and long term plans for suppliers ensuring relevant purchase orders are raised to meet the demand.What qualifications and experience i desirable:
Someone with good knowledge of procurement and buying processes.
Experience in stock control and inventory management.
Detailed knowledge of materials, stores management procedures and warranty processes
Good knowledge of IT systems / software
Good organisational skills
CIPS Professional diploma in Procurement and Supply is desirable but not essential.
