Description Job Overview: The Kinetic Wholesale Transport Test and Turn Up team provisions and tests Wholesale customer ordered circuits across our transport network and provides support up to customer acceptance and activation. Our services include, but are not limited to, TDM from DS1 to OC192 and Ethernet from 5M up to 100G with a strong emphasis on Fiber to the Tower. Due to business needs and the needs of our Wholesale customers, after hours work is occasionally needed so flexibility is desired in this position. Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of Telecommunications Strong knowledge of SONET, DWDM, ROADM, or other Transport Technologies Strong working knowledge of RFC testing Strong working knowledge of Metasolv (NG-MSS & hPAE) Strong working knowledge of Remedy ticketing system Strong working knowledge of JIRA ticketing system Strong level of understanding circuit designs and Engineering packages (including drawings) Strong working knowledge of Nortel/Preside Classic; Fujitsu Flashwave/FLM & Netsmart; Cisco/Cerent 15454 & 15600 - CTC/CTM; Ciena/Cyan; Turin; Transmode; Infinera DNA; Coriant; DMX; Accedian Metronodes/Metronids; Lucent/Alcatel 1601 & 1631 Strong understanding of OTN technology Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills Proficient in using Microsoft products Must be customer focused Must be a team player & a self-starter Must be detail oriented Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide support for the Kinetic Wholesale team. Ability to run projects to completion. Work with Vendors and Customers in regards to troubleshooting issues that arise while provisioning and testing Wholesale Customer orders. Ability to effectively direct field technicians and other personnel during troubleshooting and testing activities Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years technical/telephony experience with 4 years directly related to the job; or 7 years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
