Platform Engineer

Your Tasks:
* Provide platform-specific support for the project in all PaaS-related topics (organizational, technical, professional).
* Act as the interface between development and platform.
* Function in an enabler role: facilitate project work, take on initial tasks, train and hand over, eg, define PaaS resources, provide basic training for project staff, handle deployments, etc.
* With your expert knowledge, you will be the point of contact for new PaaS topics within the team and for external staff.
* Ensure integration and use, or optimal use, of BRZ's standard development tools and instruments.
* Guide colleagues towards independence in the PaaS area.

Your Profile:
* Proven years of experience in the operation and further development of complex IT systems.
* Excellent knowledge of container technologies and platforms from an operations and/or engineering perspective (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
* CI/CD know-how and engineering competence.
* Coaching competence.

Knowledge in the following areas is desirable:

* Setting up CI/CD environments for individual (Java/JavaScript) and standard applications with Jenkins, Tekton, S2I Build, ArgoCD.
* Microservice architecture based on Java/JavaScript.
* Experience with CI/CD image/Git repositories (Quay, Artifactory, Gitlab).
* Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
* Python, Perl, Rest API.
* Microservices (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
* Image repositories (Quay/GITlab/Forgeio).
* Monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).
* React, Angular.

Fully remote working conditions. English language project environment.
