Junior IT Network Engineer
We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Junior IT Network Engineer. The role is permanent position based in Zurich Canton & comes with good home office allowance.
Your role:
- Participate in IT Network planning, delivery & operations.
- Review Network Infrastructure design & ensure that all aspects of the Network deliverables (Hardware, Passive Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Monitoring & Alerting, etc.) are implemented.
- Partake in network infrastructure builds & implementations.
- Contribute to the effective & efficient provision of Network services.
- Perform equipment configuration, tests, handover, monitoring & troubleshooting.
Your Skills & Experience:
- From 1 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in IT Network Engineering, including experiences in routing, switching, security & wireless technologies.
- Skilled & experienced in all or most of the following: WAN/LAN, MPLS, VPN, Routing, VLAN, VoIP, Multicast, NAC, Wireless.
- Ideally experienced in the delivery of wireless networks in complex & high-density environments.
- Any experience in structured cabling (copper & fibre) is considered advantageous.
- Preferably experienced in IT Network Engineering in association with Major Events.
Your Profile:
- Completed University Degree in the area Computer Science or Similar.
- Any relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE & CISSP, are considered a plus.
- Willing to travel globally when required (up to 30%), some assignments might have a long duration (30 days or more).
- Fluent in English (spoken & written). Any additional language skills in German, French or Spanish are considered advantageous.
