Job Title: Senior EHS Engineer

Location: Plymouth

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EHS Engineer to join a leading medical technology company. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing safety strategies, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability legislation, and fostering a positive safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce health and safety policies.
  • Lead a small safety team, providing direction, support, and motivation.
  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance workplace safety culture.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Support incident investigations and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications:

  • BSc or BEng in a Health & Safety discipline.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or NVQ H&S qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal compliance and workplace safety standards.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, hazard identification, and mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
