Group Business Incident Manager (BIM)
Glasgow (Remote) (1 in 4 on call weekend cover required.)
£553 p/d Inside IR35

We're looking for an experienced Group (Business) Incident Manager to join our client's multi-disciplinary team. The role involves assessing incidents in ServiceNow to determine impact and the need for central management, ensuring bronze or silver incidents are resolved efficiently with root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.

You'll communicate with business stakeholders, provide incident updates, and support escalations in line with bank policies. A key part of the role is enhancing the Incident Management framework, driving continuous improvement, and optimising processes for better customer and colleague experiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead or support incident management efforts for timely service restoration, minimising impact.
  • Provide Real Time updates on incidents, service impact, and resolution timelines, ensuring stakeholders are happy with remediation's.
  • Ensure escalations follow bank policies.
  • Run and document Post Incident Reviews, tracking actions to completion.
  • Deliver accurate and relevant management reporting.
  • Monitor tools like ServiceNow and Teams for early incident detection.
  • Contribute to improving the Incident Management framework.
  • Prioritise tasks in a fast-moving environment.
  • Provide out-of-hours/standby support for incidents and major IT releases (24/7/365).
  • It is essential you have worked within a bank previously in a similar role.
  • Communicating with regulatory bodies such as FCA.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience in Group (Business) Incident Management.
  • Strong leadership and development skills.
  • Understanding of key banking technologies and applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills up to Exec level.
  • Tenacity, resilience, and flexibility.
