The Role

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for an account base of 40 clients. You will have a variety of KPI's and targets to meet including a revenue target.

You will be required to visit your clients regularly to continue to build on your relationship as well as uncovering potential upsell and cross sell opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the Colt product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Use available resource and own initiative to win new business within your client base. This includes:

Building strong commercial relationships with prospects

Understanding the potential of prospects and prioritising efforts accordingly

Understanding client requirements at both a strategic and tactical level to be able to offer the best solutions

2. Achieve and over achieve on personal KPIs and sales targets

· To ensure personal KPIs and targets are achieved for new business wins and to introduce corrective activities / new initiatives for any under achievement

3. Pipeline management

To manage own pipeline to ensure targets are met

4. Financial management

To produce detailed forecasts for own new business sales

Ensure that forecasting reflects the objectives of the business

5. Build commercial relationships with key partners as relevant

Candidate Profile


A highly energetic and enthusiastic salesperson with the desire to succeed

Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to network within the client base

Excellent sales process and organisational management

Numerate and commercially astute

Excellent communication skills oral and written

Articulate and able to influence and persuade in a business environment at all levels

Target / goal orientated

Professional in attitude, conduct and appearance

Entrepreneurial attitude and able to work independently

General Experience

Proven track record in Account Management

Can demonstrate track record of achieving upsell and cross sell targets

Formally sales trained (desirable)
