Enterprise Solution Architect Architecture Practice Manager
As an Enterprise Solution Architect and Architecture Practice Manager, you will be pivotal in architecting the technical infrastructure and applications across our entire technology estate. This role involves ensuring that the domain architecture aligns with business needs and contributes significantly to the provision of resilient digital services, enhancing customer and employee experiences.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Lead the creation and definition of the data architecture framework, models, standards, principles, and designs that guide decision-making and delivery.
- Engage with business stakeholders and technology vendors to understand, analyse, and recommend appropriate models, patterns, solutions, and technologies.
- Communicate effectively, serving both as a listener and influencer.
- Proactively engage with governance forums during project planning and delivery to ensure adherence to Data Architecture standards and the realization of strategic plans and roadmaps.
- Develop technology strategy for the relevant Architecture domain, provide consultancy on strategic initiatives, and act as a point of approval for technology selection and purchase.
- Drive innovation and improvement across the business, maximizing the value of technology and data, and researching emerging technology trends to deliver insights to business colleagues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of governance forums and the ability to run architecture governance forums.
- Familiarity with Architecture Tools such as EA Sparx, Orbus, etc.
- Significant experience in the definition of Architectural artefacts.
- Experience applying one or more formal Architecture frameworks (eg, TOGAF, Zachman).
- Prior experience leading the development and enhancement of an Architecture Repository.
- Experience managing and coordinating several streams of activities and engaging with large stakeholder populations in a diverse organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of world-class technology suppliers and strong external perspective on developments and trends in technology.
- Good experience applying and governing architecture implementation across a range of software delivery life cycles.
