Staff Development Specialist
The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities has an excellent opportunity for a Staff Development Specialist. This employee will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of training and orientation for all TCBDD employees. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) certification regulations and rules, sourcing or creating instructional materials used for DODD required training courses, annual trainings, and all staff orientation content. Must be willing to work with Leadership staff to create approved course content for all existing and future staff development activities as well as directly provide instruction to TCBDD employees using available methods including but not limited to lectures, tours, and other speakers, using audio/video equipment as necessary. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience using computer hardware and software, including word processing and database management programs a must. Experience in training CPR as well as Crisis Prevention Intervention, CONNECT or other de-escalation and behavior management programs a plus. Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and abuser registry clearances. Ability to access worksite(s) required.
