Trust in Soda is excited to partner with an innovative tech company in Switzerland as they seek a Senior Engineer for their Observability Engineering Team. This role offers the chance to guide a team in designing, deploying, and managing a robust observability stack across cloud environments, ensuring Real Time monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and IT workloads.

Location: Lugano, Switzerland
Rate: 120CHF/hour
Length: 12months

You'll be responsible for driving the adoption of best practices in observability, overseeing the implementation of critical infrastructure tools like Terraform, and mentoring a talented team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implement Observability Stack: Build and deploy logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing systems tailored to cloud environments.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Seamlessly integrate observability tools with cloud platforms, including Oracle OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP, and leverage IaC tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure deployments.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Drive the development of monitoring standards, optimize system performance, and ensure high availability and efficiency of cloud workloads.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to create a unified observability strategy.
Your Background:
  • Experience: 5+ years in observability engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure (Oracle OCI experience is a must).
  • Technical Expertise: Strong in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and PagerDuty; expertise with Terraform and containerized platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading teams and driving technical discussions.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Deep understanding of cloud-native environments and observability best practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communicator with a passion for mentoring and fostering team development in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
