Jira Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Contract Length: 30 weeks
Rate: Up to €105 per hour (based on a 40-hour work week)

Overview:

A leading E-commerce travel company is seeking a Jira Subject Matter Expert (SME) to take ownership of their Jira environment. This role will focus on optimising workflows, automation, integrations, and reporting, ensuring Jira remains a robust and scalable tool for cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Jira Administration & Optimisation: Act as the go-to expert for configuring and enhancing Jira, managing workflows, custom fields, and project settings to align with business needs.
• Scripting & Automation: Develop advanced automation using JavaScript, Jira Behaviours, and ScriptRunner to streamline processes and improve system functionality.
• Advanced Reporting & Dashboards: Design and maintain insightful dashboards and reports using Atlassian Data Share and EazyBI, leveraging JavaScript for tailored analytics.
• System Integrations: Support and maintain integrations between Jira and external platforms such as Google Sheets, ServiceNow, and other third-party tools, using REST APIs and plugins.
• Governance & System Stability: Ensure Jira remains secure, stable, and scalable by managing system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and enforcing best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in Jira administration, customisation, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Scripting languages, particularly JavaScript and ScriptRunner.
• Proficiency in EazyBI and Atlassian Data Share for advanced reporting.
• Knowledge of REST APIs for integrating Jira with external tools.
• Experience in managing Jira system security, scalability, and performance.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
• Preferred: Atlassian certifications and experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian products.
