My client is looking for an experienced Senior Network LAN Engineer to join a dynamic team working on Software Defined Networks (SDN). This 6-month contract offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a hybrid role based in London, with immediate start availability.

Role Overview

As a Senior Network LAN Engineer, you will be responsible for LAN network implementations, ensuring seamless integration of Software Defined Networks. You will contribute to detailed network designs, complex change implementations, and business-critical projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed design documentation, including physical and logical network configurations.
• Work closely with architectural and design teams to maintain compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with project management teams to meet deliverables and deadlines.
• Review, approve, and implement complex network-level changes.
• Provide technical expertise for critical project delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of business, application, and system requirements.
• Offer implementation support, including weekend and on-call availability.
• Maintain and update network infrastructure documentation.
• Assist in defining best practices for network provisioning teams.

Key Skills & Experience

• Security Technologies: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA.
• Cisco Routing & Switching, Nexus.
• Network Appliances: F5.
• Data Centre L2/L3 principles and devices.
• Multicast Technologies: ASM, SSM, IP PIM Sparse Mode, IP IGMP.
• Cisco ACI, GIT, GITLAB, JSON.
