Virtualisation SME - £600PD - Outside IR35

I am currently working with a leader in the gaming space who are transitioning from Horizon to Parsec to enhance their remote desktop and cloud gaming infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimising Parsec across our organisation, ensuring a seamless transition from Horizon. Strong skills in Virtualisation, VMware and Horizon are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration from Horizon to Parsec, ensuring a smooth implementation.
• Configure and optimise Parsec for low-latency, high-performance remote desktop access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment and post-implementation.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure compatibility and security.
• Assess Non-Persistent VDI for cost savings and simplified management using profile redirection (FSLogix, User Profile Disks, etc.).

Skills

• Expertise in VMware Horizon, AVD, and RDS.
• Strong knowledge of Persistent vs. Non-Persistent VDI strategies.
• Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis of virtual desktop solutions.
• Experience deploying and optimising Parsec or similar remote access solutions.
• Knowledge of gaming/3D rendering performance requirements.
• Strong understanding of network latency and security considerations.
