Data Backup Subject Matter Expert (SC and NPPV3 Cleared) - 3 months Contract - £500/day via umbrella company - hybrid London - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are seeking an experienced Data Backup Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage backup solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability of backup systems. You will collaborate with various teams throughout the project life cycle and provide guidance on backup best practices.

Your responsibilities as a Data Backup Subject Matter Expert:

• Design, implement, and manage backup solutions.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability of backup systems.
• Conduct backup assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate backup solutions into all project phases.
• Provide guidance on backup best practices.
• Create and update detailed backup documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and Deployment Guides.

As a suitable Data Backup Subject Matter Expert, you will have:

• Active SC and NPPV3 clearance
• Veritas 8.x to 10.x Software: Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Veritas backup software versions 8.x to 10.x.
• Veritas Flex and Access Appliances: Managing Veritas Flex and Access appliances, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Backup Skills: Strong knowledge of backup principles, practices, and technologies, including VMware, Windows, Linux, and Enterprise DB Backups (eg, SQL/Oracle agent backups).
• Relevant certifications (eg, Veritas Certified Specialist) are desirable.
• Experience in data centre backup management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
