Role: Applications and Data Teams Manager

As the Applications and Data Teams Manager, you will manage a team of Application Analysts, Engineers, and SQL DBAs, ensuring efficient incident resolution, change management, and service improvements.

This role requires a technical background and strong leadership skills, with experience in managing diverse teams and engaging with stakeholders, suppliers, and business groups. You will support service transitions from projects to BAU, maintain ITIL best practices, and ensure high system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor applications and data teams across multiple locations.
• Oversee service performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs and ITIL processes.
• Represent the function in governance, project boards, and supplier engagements.
• Monitor and optimize applications for performance, availability, and security.
• Ensure proper change and release management to prevent service disruptions.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and support resilience testing.

Essential Experience:

• Service management in high-priority digital/tech environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and supplier management.
• Line management and leadership experience.
• Application life cycle knowledge, including upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ITIL processes, incident, change, and problem management.
• Technical expertise in Middleware, databases (SQL, MySQL), Active Directory, and .NET.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), .NET, JavaScript (React, Node.js), and NoSQL technologies.
• ITIL certification and Agile (SAFE) experience.
