DevOps Engineer
My client has a need for an experienced Cloud Architect to join their team. This is a great chance to join a fantasti business who have some really exciting projects in the pipeline!
As a DevOps Engineer within the Infinity DevOps team, you will be expected to:
- Take ownership of the design, creation, configuration and delivery of cloud infrastructure and environments using automation and security best practices.
- Help implement a Cl/CD strategy to incorporate the entire product development life cycle as well as the continual evolution of cross-functional collaboration, associated best practices, and standards.
- Create accurate documentation for use by Development, QA, Technical Operations, Product, Support, etc.
- Create/maintain tools to enhance observability of our cloud-based environments, ensuring that platform stability and uptime targets are always met.
- Promote the use of cloud-native tools and methodologies.
- Proactively be part of a high-performance enablement team working in a fast-paced environment.
What they are looking for
They are looking for a person that is highly passionate about what they do, are self-motivated, driven and enjoy collaborating with different teams. You will need to have a strong background in DevOps processes and tools. You should be curious, eager to learn and share your knowledge with others.
- 4-5 years of DevOps experience across a range of industries
- Experience with programming languages, eg Python, Bash, Go.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems administration.
- Extensive experience working in AWS.
- Experience with Configuration Management tools, ideally Ansible, and solid experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform, ideally on AWS.
- Good understanding of version control tools such as GitHub and BitBucket
- Experience with CI/CD tools such Jenkins and GH Actions. Nice to have - knowledge of CircleCI and Kubernetes-related tools such as ArgoCD and Flux
- Knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Splunk, DataDog, Grafana, Kibana, Zabbix, etc.
- A working knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of and ideally experience in Kafka, MSK, Kafka Connect and similar technologies.
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and prioritize work against competing deadlines and changing business priorities.
- Nice to have - working experience in infrastructure, particularly around networking and cloud-based DNS services such as Cloudflare.
