We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Process Engineer within the Drinking Water Services Department based at our Pynes site, on the outskirts of Exeter.
Joining our team, the Process Engineer will optimise the efficiency and reliability of process control plant and equipment at Drinking Water sites in conjunction with the Asset Performance and Water Quality & Science teams, through deployment of specialist MEICA skills. You will liaise with third party contractors, H5O and Technical Services delivery partners to ensure the quality of installations, work programmes, repair and maintenance activities deliver the right solution for the Water Services business. Duties include:
*Identifying, planning and implementing processes for improvement*Monitoring and improving energy consumption and efficiency*Ensuring the resilience of drinking water supplies is maintained and improved*Asset management, improvement and replacement strategy*Supporting field teams as required
[b]The Ideal Process Engineer will have:[/b]
*Extensive experience of process control, automation and electrical systems.*Experience of working with and understanding of PLCs to include management and programming.*In depth knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems*Ability to fault find, diagnose repair and provide maintenance*Experience of working with communication protocols*Experience of control instrumentation*Relevant formal MEICA qualifications ICA / Electrical bias ONC / HNC / HND*A full UK Driving Licence*Previous experience within the Leakage area of the water sector would be an advantage
The successful candidate will be service delivery focused, and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and experience of managing operational teams to deliver success together with an aptitude for analysing and improving complex processes.
