Data Observability Architect
We're currently looking for an Architect - Data Observability to join a leading IT consultancy on an initial 6-month contract for a global banking customer.
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in Leeds/Sheffield
Rate: Up to £780 per day - Inside IR35
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and optimizing observability tools across cloud and non-cloud platforms.
- Using OpenTelemetry, OpenSearch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and more to ingest and display metrics, logs, and traces effectively.
- Designing monitoring solutions for OS (Linux & Windows), Kubernetes, databases, APIs, applications, and microservices.
- Creating well-documented frameworks for seamless implementation and support.
- Driving and communicating the observability strategy across different teams.
- Working with Data Observability tools (ADOC, Monte Carlo) and Data Governance frameworks (Collibra, DQ solutions, pipelines, etc.).
Requirements:
- Strong experience with modern observability tools and standards.
- Excellent technical, design, and documentation skills.
- The ability to communicate both high-level strategy and technical deep dives.
- Knowledge of data observability and governance solutions.
This role is a contract position, and cannot be offered to those that require sponsorship.
