The Company

Ecuity is a growing, highly focused consultancy specialising in strategy, regulation, policy and politics affecting the sustainable energy sector in the UK and in the EU. We specialise in helping our clients to achieve tangible and meaningful changes in regulation and policy that will make a real difference to the uptake of sustainable energy. In addition to a vast project experience, we make it our business to understand the key developments driving change in the energy sector. We use our strategic insight gained from this experience to translate complex regulatory frameworks, technological developments and market trends into clear actionable advice for business and organisational leadership teams.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for two Graduate Internships with a 12-week duration which will be remunerated according to the National Living Wage .

The roles represent an opportunity to gain experience in strategy, policy and political activity related to sustainable energy. It will allow the successful candidate to gain valuable experience at an early stage of their career. Working closely with our team, you will learn about stakeholder engagement, the importance of evidence-based influence and policymaking as well as experiencing a wide variety of other activities that help make our business a success.

Candidates will be considered from a range of academic backgrounds including but not limited to environmental science, economics, geography, politics, public affairs, social policy, legal or science and engineering.. Candidates are required to have recently graduated from University.

The role sits within a small, dynamic and impactful team. Our work is designed to affect change at a national level and to ensure that we transition to a low carbon economy, protect our environment and minimise the impact of climate change.

Person Requirements:

a)Organisation and time management - the nature of our work requires an ability to handle competing priorities/deadlines. We are looking for someone who is well organised and can develop and implement work plans to ensure that deadlines are met.

b)Experience and qualifications - the successful applicant will have a relevant degree. Experience and understanding of energy policy, economic analysis, government processes, the decarbonisation agenda and/or public affairs would be advantageous, but we would consider candidates with less experience if they have the right aptitude and are keen to develop.

c)Passion and dedication - we are passionate about the low carbon transition and we are dedicated to ensuring that the future of our planet is both different and better and we want you to share that passion. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for supporting the move to a greener future.
