We're looking for an experienced Senior Service Designer to provide short-term support on a public sector digital transformation project. You'll be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting discovery work for continuous improvement, mapping services, and identifying opportunities for enhancement within an existing product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate workshops and drive discovery activities to improve service design.
• Conduct service mapping and identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Collaborate with User-Centred Design (UCD) professionals, including Interaction Designers, Content Designers, and User Researchers.
• Work closely with permanent and contract staff in a multidisciplinary, agile environment.
• Ensure service design aligns with user needs, policy objectives, and technical feasibility.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Senior Service Designer in the public sector.
• Strong facilitation skills, with experience in workshops, journey mapping, and service blueprinting.
• Ability to identify and articulate service improvement opportunities.
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of GDS (Government Digital Service) principles and standards is highly desirable.

This is an outside IR35, fully remote role, with an immediate start.
