An experienced level 3 network/security engineer is needed for our client, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of all network and security infrastructure services working in conjunction with their Managed Service partners. This is an initial 3 month contract and will be hybrid with a couple of visits a week to their London office. This contract role is inside IR35.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate shall have proficient knowledge and experience of the following technologies in use:

• Zscaler
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• Check Point Firewalls
• Cisco ASA Firewalls
• Cisco switching and routing (inc ACI)
• Juniper switching and routing and Juniper MIST managed environments
• Cisco ISE
• Cisco WiFi
• F5 LTM/GTM
• WAN technologies, MPLS/SDWAN/SASE
• Azure and AWS networking
• Highly proficient in technical troubleshooting, expertise in packet analysis (Wireshark)
• Network monitoring tools eg SolarWInds

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with providers on major incidents and follow up problems records.
• Working on major network projects in a consultancy/advisory capacity.
• Providing general advice to our customers on network/security related matters.
• Technical design reviews and solutioning.
• Change review, approval and CAB attendance.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps.
