Senior Java Oracle Coherence Developer - (Gridgain/Gemfire) Referential Data - Investment Bank

The primary function of the team is to maintain and enhance a globally distributed referential data system based on Oracle Coherence. It is used globally by many applications within the Global Markets domain and consumes referential data from a variety of internal sources.

As a senior Java developer act as technical lead for Java applications developed within the team. Help define and govern development best practices.

Strong Core Java Developer needed.

If the candidate has Oracle Coherence, GridGain, GemFire or any other distribution cashing technology then that would be ideal.

Will be working on a Tier 1 platform

Required Skiils -

- Expert level Core Java knowledge, strong test driven Java programming skills

Oracle Coherence and AngularJS + ASP.NET

- Strong demonstrable expertise in development, performance tuning and monitoring of

- JVM performance tuning

- Strong test driven Java programming skills

- Exposure to SQL on a relational database (preferably Oracle)

- High level of motivation and enthusiasm

- Good communication skills

- Experience of Dev-Ops tools such as Jenkins, Ancible, Sonar

- Ideally a numerate degree/qualification (Maths, Computer Science, Software Engineering)

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

- Clear, accurate and concise written and verbal communication

- Proactive and highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload

This role offers hybrid working 50% and is inside IR35 Umbrella
