The Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Network Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our network infrastructure while ensuring stability, security, and scalability. As part of a collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to influence key technical decisions, work on automation initiatives, and drive innovation in networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network systems, including Firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and security policies.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
• Automate network management and deployment processes using Scripting tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Enhance monitoring systems to proactively detect and resolve potential network failures.
• Take ownership of the entire network stack, from data center cabling to high-level architecture.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Firewalls (Fortigate, FortiManager, ZTNA, VPNs).
• Advanced expertise in routing & switching (CCNP/CCIE level, BGP, multicast, MP-BGP, VXLAN).
• Proficiency in data center networking (Arista, cloud networking with AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of enterprise networking (Meraki wireless/VPN, 802.1X, RADIUS, PKI).
• Experience with network automation & Scripting (Python, Bash, DevNet, Go).
• Operational-level experience in Linux networking.
• Solid understanding of physical data center infrastructure (fiber types, SFPs, power, installation).
