Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CTO Risk & Control professional to join our international banking organization. This role will be instrumental in driving our technology risk management and control strategies, with a focus on cloud technologies and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of technology risk management strategies, particularly in cloud environments.
  • Oversee compliance of our public cloud platform, interfacing with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain robust governance frameworks for technology risk and control across the bank's global operations.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders in Risk, Finance, and Front Office to execute projects across the Capital spectrum.
  • Manage the overall book of work for ensuring compliance of our technology platforms, including cloud services.
  • Implement solutions aligned with the bank's compliance and security requirements.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in risk management and control within the technology department.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in technology risk management within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and associated risk management strategies.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements in the banking industry.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams across multiple time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with financial industry regulations, particularly in Credit Risk & Market Risk Capital domains.
  • Familiarity with event-driven design of Microservices and 12-factor app development standards.
  • Knowledge of big data platforms and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Presto/Starburst, Spark, and Kafka.
