The Head of EHS will lead health, safety, and environmental compliance across all construction projects in Portugal. This role requires strong experience in construction safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

• Develop and implement EHS policies to ensure compliance with Portuguese and EU safety laws.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections.
• Train and support site teams and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental and sustainability initiatives on projects.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure safety standards are met.
• Tasked with building up the EHS team as works progress.

• 5+ years of experience in construction EHS management.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese construction safety regulations.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar EHS certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Travel will be a large part of this role but based out of Milan initially.
