Role: Infrastructure Technical Architect

Location: London/Sheffield, UK (2days/week onsite)

Duration: 6months+ Contract

500GBP/Day Inside IR35

Objective:

As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IT systems within our organization. Your role will involve bridging the gap between technical and business aspects, overseeing projects from conception to completion, and building a number of solutions based on the Tertiary Vault's capabilities and objectives

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement IT systems, taking into account infrastructure, storage, and networking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms.
• Define and document the overall solution architecture.
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and security.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to the solution.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Skill

• Expertise in systems design.
• Strong knowledge of IT, including a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure technologies such as Storage, Network (N/W), Active Directory (AD), Unix, and on-premises & enterprise technologies.
• Proficiency in Word/MS Office, and Visio.
• Knowledge of Linux (Primary) & Windows systems, especially in the areas of Storage & Backup, would be beneficial.
• Awareness of cybersecurity. However, please note that cybersecurity recovery is not covered in this role.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems creatively.
• Familiarity with Veritas & ComVault plus other multiplatform tools.

This role requires a balance of technical expertise and business acumen, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both on-premises and enterprise technologies, with a primary focus on Linux systems. Familiarity with various multiplatform tools, including Veritas and ComVault, is also beneficial. Please note that this role does not cover cybersecurity recovery.
