Role: Technical Solution Architect

Required start date: Asap

Duration: 10 months

Location: Anywhere South- 1 per month travel to Suffolk

Clearance level required: SC

Remote/Site/Hybrid - Hybrid- 1 per month travel to Suffolk

Day Rate: £300+ Inside IR35

Key deliverables for the Programme that this role will support are:

Completion of the on-premise datacentre regulated environment

Technical and regulatory approval of associated designs

Monitoring and Management capability incorporating new and existing management capabilities

Application migration from source to the new target regulated on-premise hosting solution

Acceptance into live service

Drive enhancements/improvements through proactive and pre-emptive activity across the delivery

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Establish a "trusted advisor" relationship with the delivery team and the customer as the "end-to-end" Technical Authority.

Collaborate with customer stakeholders, internal teams, third parties, and the programme team to provide thought leadership throughout the delivery.

Identify and manage key technical dependencies between Vodafone teams and third parties from datacentre build to application migration.

Partner with technical leads in hosting, network, and customer technical teams.

Serve as a technical link between the programme team, technical teams, and the customer.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Ability to design, deploy, and manage robust network architectures that support high availability and performance

Proficiency in deploying and managing hypervisors (eg, VMware, Hyper-V) to create and maintain virtual machines and environments

Expertise in implementing and managing network security measures, such as Firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

Understanding of monitoring solutions to ensure system health, performance, and availability

Awareness of application migration and hosting best practices

Must be able to demonstrate technical experience of the following:

Regulatory requirements and best practices to ensure alignment to necessary compliance standards.

Proficiency in implementing security measures to protect the data centre from physical and cyber threats (for example Fortinet Virtualized Firewalls)

Security Cleared

Skills in installing and configuring Servers, storage systems, and networking equipment

Knowledge of integrating on-premise datacentres with public or private cloud environments to create a hybrid infrastructure.
