We seek a multi-talented and go getting Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and maintain our mission-critical IT infrastructure. If you're a tech-savvy professional with expertise in Windows-based networks, VMware environments, and advanced security tools, we want to hear from you!
About the Role:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the IT systems. You'll manage a Windows-based network hosted on VMware Servers, leveraging cutting-edge tools such as Sentinel Antivirus, AI Protection, Patch management and vulnerability management software and Office 365 to maintain a secure and efficient environment.
Working within a small dynamic IT team and supported by 3rd Party IT Partners, you'll support the organisation's operations, delivering high-performance infrastructure solutions and driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Administer and maintain a Windows Server network and VMware ESXi hosts.
- Configure and manage Extreme network devices, including Switches and wireless access points.
- Deploy and manage industry-leading security tools to safeguard systems.
- Optimise system performance and ensure seamless operation.
- Provide rapid incident resolution and support disaster recovery strategies.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: 5+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Windows Server, VMware vSphere/ESXi, Extreme Networks/Cisco Switches, Routers and wireless devices, Office 365, Sentinel AV, MS Defender, Patch management, and vulnerability management tools.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of IT security best practices.
