Role: Vulnerability Management Tools

CONTRACTOR MUST HOLD SC CLEARANCE
Location: 100% remote
Duration: 3.5 months
Rate: £523/day Inside Ir35

Role Description:

Has designed, architecture and deployed the AWS Inspector, Cloudtrail and Cloudwatch
Familiarity with vulnerability management
Competent in the logical configuration of AWS inspector, Cloudtrail and Cloudwatch including ensuring all systems/sources are monitored.

Vulnerability Management Tools Specialist with experience in the deployment, secure configuration and operation across a range of tools such as Qualys, AWS Inspector, Rapid 7, Microsoft Defender, and Tenable.

1. Setup and Configuration: Configure AWS Inspector by defining the assessment targets and installing the necessary agents on the EC2 instances that need to be evaluated.
2. Assessment Template Creation: Create assessment templates that specify the rules packages and duration of the assessment. These templates determine what vulnerabilities and configurations will be checked during the assessment.
3. Running Test Assessments: Execute the assessments based on the predefined templates, either manually or by scheduling them to run at regular intervals, to scan for vulnerabilities and security issues in the EC2 instances.
4. Analysing Findings: Review the detailed reports generated by AWS Inspector, which include information about discovered vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and compliance with security standards.
5. Remediation and Reporting:Prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities and issues, and generate reports for stakeholders to track the security posture and progress of remediation efforts.
