Information Security Manager
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000

Location: Birmingham

Our client is on the lookout for an Information Security Manager to lead their security team and manage controls to ensure the safety of data, people, and clients. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000 and is based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid style across the UK, with flexibility to be based in any of the client's UK offices.

What you'll do:

As an Information Security Manager, your role will be pivotal in managing the security controls that keep our client's data, people, and clients safe. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage the Information Security Analyst. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats as well as risk mitigations. You will also be responsible for conducting regular service reviews with key Information Security providers. Leading cyber incident response activities will be a significant part of your role.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage the Information Security Analyst
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats and risk mitigations
• Manage and maintain Information Security risk register, policies, training, and related communications
• Conduct regular service reviews with key Information Security providers
• Lead cyber incident response activities including coordinating incident investigation, containment and remediation actions
• Manage all penetration testing for new and present solutions as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Information Security Manager position brings excellent knowledge of Information Security systems and solutions. You have significant experience with cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST, CIS and OWASP Top10. Your ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences sets you apart. You have a proven track record in leading security-based projects along with a good understanding of attack vectors, defensive and detection cyber technologies.

• Excellent knowledge of Information Security systems and solutions
• Significant experience of cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST, CIS and OWASP Top10

• Experience of leading security based projects
