Senior System Engineer - Trader Voice

Are you an experienced Trader Voice Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a skilled professional to join a leading technology solutions provider on a 12-month fixed-term contract, delivering cutting-edge voice services within a dynamic enterprise environment.

As a Senior System Engineer - Trader Voice, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced trading voice platforms. You will be responsible for engineering solutions, assisting operational teams, and ensuring high availability and performance of trading voice infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a range of trading voice services, including engineering, operational support, monitoring, and controls.

• Manage and monitor the trading voice infrastructure.

• Perform ready-for-business checks and troubleshoot L3 issues.

• Certify new software releases and assess new features.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.

• Work within change management processes and review vendor-provided SoWs.

• Collaborate with external partners and vendors for support and change management.

• Escalate issues as required to management.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in Trader Voice Engineering.

• Expertise in Trader Voice systems (eg, IPC systems, Hoots, Private Lines, Cloud9).

• Strong knowledge of SIP protocol and VoIP telephony.

• Experience working with software in a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.

• Proficiency in running VMs on ESXi and KVM platforms.

• Familiarity with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL) and query operations.

• Understanding of Cisco telephony, MS Teams, and Skype for Business.

• Knowledge of Private Wires and Hoot Networks.

• Experience in financial institutions with a technology focus.

• Familiarity with IT service delivery methodologies (Agile, ITIL, ITSM).
