Job Title: HR Business Partner
Location: Rugby (3-days on site per week)
Duration: Initial 6 months

This is a freelance role, inside IR35

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) for a contract assignment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide strategic HR support to our business leaders, helping to align HR initiatives with organisational goals to foster a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Strategic HR Partnering: Build and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders to understand priorities and provide proactive, value-added HR solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Business Acumen: Align HR strategies to the operations of the business, ensuring HR initiatives support and drive the overall company goals.
Employee Relations and Employment Law: Provide expert advice and guidance on effective employee relations, navigating complex issues with a strong understanding of employment law.
- HR Policy and Training: Educate leaders and employees on HR policies, processes, and procedures. Deliver coaching, mentoring, and training to leadership teams and employees at all levels.
- Performance and Remuneration: Support recruitment, performance management, and remuneration activities. Assist with job descriptions, job evaluations, and salary benchmarking.
- Organisational Design and Change Management: Lead efforts in organisational design, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and structures are aligned for business efficiency and future growth. Design and implement change management strategies to foster continuous improvement.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Leverage HR metrics, analytics, and insights to inform decision-making and demonstrate the impact of HR initiatives on business success. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on HR and business metrics.
Collaboration with Other Teams: Partner with HR colleagues to ensure processes and policies align with business goals. Collaborate with legal counsel, finance business partners, and other professional support services as required.
- Union and Staff Council Engagement: Regular contact with trades unions and employee forums, providing strategic support on union matters and collective agreements.

- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Proven experience coaching and mentoring leaders, guiding them through complex HR issues and supporting their leadership development.
- Employee Relations Expertise: In-depth knowledge of managing complex employee relations issues with a balanced approach that advocates for both employees and the organisation.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, particularly in unionised environments.
- Commercial Awareness: Financially and commercially aware, with the ability to align HR strategies with business goals and operational needs.
- Relationship-Building: Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders, employees, and key stakeholders within and outside the business.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Expertise:
- Qualifications: CIPD qualified (or equivalent). Degree level education preferred.
- HR Experience: Proven track record as an HRBP with extensive experience in providing HR - support across all levels of the organisation, particularly in unionised environments.
- Employment Law: Sound knowledge of current UK employment law and HR best practices.
- HR Systems and Tools: Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides) and proficient with Excel for reporting and analytics.
