Senior UI Developer - React, NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS, GraphQL, Cypress, Selenium, APIs, Agile, Investment Management, Index Data

A Senior UI Engineer skilled in React and NodeJS development is sought after by a global Investment Manager to take on a senior role within a core team responsible for a platform that provides insights and forecasting for client portfolios, supporting Front Office Strategies.

This is a greenfield platform that has been built out over the past two years with a mixed Python/Node Back End, React Front End and a cloud-native microservices architecture hosted in AWS.

This role is part of a new team developing responsive web applications integrated into the forecasting platform with the aim of providing efficient and modern portfolio construction and management services to their quant teams, Portfolio Managers and clients.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for setting and maintaining best practises for UI design and development, engaging with Product Teams to understand and implement requirements, as well as driving high quality, clean code leveraging continuous delivery onto AWS.

To be successful, you will demonstrate the following:

• Strong UI development skills specifically with React and NodeJS
• A background in the development and deployment of robust and responsive, highly crafted web applications
• Experience deploying to AWS cloud via modern CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, GitHub etc.)
• Experience with API integration and GraphQL
• A background in Financial Services, specifically Investment Management or Investment Banking and an understanding of reference and index data
