Required Skills:

Technical & Incident Management Skills

Strong technical background (ideally in networking, cloud, applications, or infrastructure).

Experience leading major incidents and managing high-severity outages.

Ability to facilitate and lead technical calls with multiple teams.

Understanding of technical architectures, service dependencies, and incident triage.

Ability to map technical routes and hotspots in incident response.

Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills under pressure.

ITIL framework knowledge, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of systems and infrastructure.

Change & Service Transition Skills

Experience in Change Management processes, ideally in an ITIL/Service Management environment.

Ability to review, assess, and approve changes, ensuring minimal risk.

Strong risk and impact assessment skills.

Understanding of non-functional requirements (eg, scalability, resilience).

Experience working with CAB (Change Advisory Board) and risk management.

Ability to challenge and ask the right questions about proposed changes.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management - ability to liaise between technical teams, management, and business stakeholders.

Leadership and coordination - ensuring the right people are involved and actions are followed through.

Analytical mindset - ability to break down complex technical problems.

Proactive and self-driven - able to build knowledge quickly and take ownership of issues.

Ideal Candidate Background

Experience in Major Incident & Change Management in a technical environment.

ITIL v3 or v4 certification (preferred).

Experience with cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, etc.) and enterprise IT environments.

Strong understanding of application support, networking, and infrastructure.

Experience working in highly regulated environments (eg, government, finance, healthcare).
