Contract for an experienced Linux Engineer who has in-depth Zscaler ZIA and endpoint experience (ideally eLux) to join a project delivering Virtual Desktop and Desktop as a Service for a banks global End User Computing team. Project to undertake a major initiative to migrate voice and video traffic off their core network to Zscaler. The project involves working with existing Linux OS systems and Zscaler to offload traffic via Zscaler ZIA. The Linux Endpoint Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, development, testing, Scripting, and issue resolution required to ensure the successful deployment of the solution.

Needs a Linux subject matter expert for the team.

Responsibilities:

• Support the migration of 120k Linux (elux) devices to offload voice and video traffic from the core network via Zscaler ZIA.
• Phase 1: Assist with testing and supporting device-based authentication implementation.
• Phase 2: Assist with the testing of user-based authentication (yet to be tested).
• Provide Linux expertise to upload new builds, deploy systems, and run testing and remediation as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve core coding issues on Linux systems related to the migration and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of Zscaler solutions into the existing infrastructure.
• Provide input and guidance on best practices for Zscaler and Linux endpoint management.
• Ensure systems are fully tested, validated, and ready for deployment, following the required procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong experience with Linux OS (and Endpoint eLux) in an enterprise environment.
• In-depth understanding of Zscaler ZIA and its integration with network solutions.
• Experience in Scripting for automation, testing, and troubleshooting on Linux systems.
• Previous experience in large-scale endpoint migrations or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of device-based and user-based authentication methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
