Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:45
Rate: €500 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join the Civil, Environmental & Renewables Engineering Group within clients Generation and Trading division. This role involves overseeing civil engineering services from feasibility to construction for hydro and thermal stations. Responsibilities include asset inspections, maintenance audits, tender preparation, and providing structural advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture.
- Provide technical expertise in civil/structural engineering across all project stages.
- Manage civil works contracts and oversee project delivery.
- Conduct asset inspections and audits.
- Prepare technical reports, structural calculations, and drawings.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in civil/structural engineering.
- Strong commercial and project management skills.
- Ability to assess and manage project risks.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Full driving license and access to a car.
Desirable:
- Level 9 Engineering Degree or Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Knowledge of PSDP or PSCS roles
