Mainframe Architect

As a Mainframe Architect, you will be the technical bridge between clients and internal teams, driving end-to-end solution design and implementation. You'll collaborate with clients to understand their needs, define success criteria, and architect tailored Mainframe database solutions that align with their business objectives. Acting as the technical lead, you'll ensure seamless execution, meeting the highest standards of performance, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of Mainframe database solutions from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, governance teams, and project stakeholders to define requirements and success metrics.
• Provide expert guidance on Mainframe database technologies, performance tuning, and modernization strategies.
• Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with best practices.
• Stay ahead of industry advancements, leveraging the latest technologies to drive business value.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in Mainframe database technologies (eg, IBM DB2, IMS Database, Cincom Supra, Adabas, Datacom).
• Strong expertise in database performance, capacity management, tuning, and high availability.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Solid knowledge of core Mainframe subsystems and programming languages (eg, z/OS, JCL, JES, RACF/ACF2, CICS, Cobol, PL/1, SQL, Natural).
